Our commitment to the Principles of Excellence

As an institution serving those who use federal military and veterans education benefits, Laurus College is committed to the federal Principles of Excellence (Executive Order 13607). We will:

  • Provide a personalized cost-and-financial-aid estimate (College Financing Plan) before you enroll.
  • Provide educational plans for your program and clear information about graduation requirements.
  • Designate a point of contact for academic and financial advising.
  • Accommodate service members and reservists called to active duty.
  • Communicate clearly and avoid deceptive or aggressive recruiting.

“In-Residence” and Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH)

The following is a federal U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs definition used for housing-allowance eligibility: “Veteran students who are enrolled as in-resident students are required to attend onsite for a minimum of one (1) 50-minute class session during the term to be considered ‘In-Residence’ for determining a student’s Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH).” Your School Certifying Official can explain how this applies to your enrollment and benefits.
