Student Funding & Financial Aid | Laurus College

Laurus College Offers a Variety of Financial Plans

These plans include a range of options including private pay, student loans and grants, and payment via third party. The variety of available plans gives you flexibility in choosing the one best suited to your specific needs. The college offers individual financial planning sessions for all students and their families. Student Funding is available to those who qualify.

Federal Student Funding

Laurus College is approved to offer federal financial aid to those students enrolled in eligible programs and for those who qualify for the federal programs. Laurus College is an eligible institution to offer Federal Subsidized and Unsubsidized Direct Loans, Federal Parent Plus Loans, Federal PELL Grants, FSEOG, and Federal Work Study to students enrolled in programs eligible for these programs.
Demonstrate financial need for need-based federal student funding programs;

• Be a U.S. citizen or an eligible noncitizen;
• Have a valid Social Security number (with the exception of students from the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, or the Republic of Palau);
• Be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a regular student in an eligible degree or certificate program;
• Be enrolled at least half-time to be eligible for Direct Loan Program funds;
• Maintain satisfactory academic progress in college or career school;
• Sign the certification statement on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form stating that you’re not in default on a federal student loan, you do not owe money on a federal student grant, and you’ll only use federal student aid for educational purposes;
• Show you’re qualified to obtain a college or career school education.

In addition to meeting the criteria above, Laurus College also requires:

Having a high school diploma or a state-recognized equivalent such as a General Educational Development (GED) certificate;

• Completing a high school education in a homeschool setting approved under state law (or—if state law does not require a homeschooled student to obtain a completion credential—completing a high school education in a homeschool setting that qualifies as an exemption from compulsory attendance requirements under state law); or

• Once a student graduates, or leaves school, direct loans will enter repayment after a six-month grace period. Plus loans will enter repayment once the loan is fully disbursed. Pell, FSEOG, and Federal Work Study grants do not require repayment.
